Happy January, Goddesses of Light
I am so honored to be entering this new year with you.
This month, we’ll be setting vision together and pausing to celebrate some really meaningful milestones within our community. There is a lot to be proud of, and a lot to look ahead to.
Community Invitation: Vision Setting Week
One of my favorite rituals each year is our Vision Setting gatherings.
A practice I’ve been facilitating since 2015 with students, supervisees, friends, and many of you in this community.
This year, we’re creating multiple opportunities throughout the end of the month so everyone can participate in a way that feels accessible.
Vision Setting Sessions
Wednesday, January 28th at 6:00 pm CST
Thursday, January 29th at 6:00 pm CST
Saturday, January 31st from 2:00–4:00 pm CST
You’re welcome to join one or more sessions and share your vision in whatever form feels right for you: vision board, box or bingo, your written intentions, word for the year, or a digital board.
A separate email will be sent with full instructions and ideas.
At its core, this practice is about getting clear, sharing in community, and allowing ourselves to be witnessed as we name what we’re moving toward. Habakuk 2:2-3
These are all considered supervision sessions. Everyone, including Alumni, are welcome.

Alumni Spotlights: Celebrations Worth Pausing For
This month, we are celebrating two major milestones in our alumni community.
Jacquelyn ~ congratulations on passing your clinical exam!
Corisa ~ congratulations on passing your clinical exam!
Since May 2025, eleven Goddesses from this community have passed their clinical exams.
In a time when there is so much noise about the difficulties of the exam. So much fear, frustration, and doubt circulating in our profession. The Goddesses are clearly operating in another realm. One rooted in preparation, support, reflection, and collective wisdom.
We are especially excited to welcome Corisa back to supervision to share her ASWB experience:
Wednesday, January 7th at 6:00 pm CST Zoom link: Corisa Shares Her ASWB Experience
Her return will offer insight, encouragement, and real-time wisdom for those preparing for their own exams. Please come support her and learn from her journey. All are welcome.
Your accomplishments matter. Your persistence matters. And your stories continue to light the way for others.
From the Podcast
As we move into a new year, the Goddesses of Social Work Podcast is also entering its next chapter.
If your story has been quietly asking to be shared (and I know for some of you it has). If your journey includes lessons, pivots, or wisdom others could learn from, this may be your moment.
If you’re interested in being a guest in 2026, you can schedule directly here: Schedule Your Goddesses Of Social Work Podcast Interview
Your voice belongs here. Come show up for yourself.
