    Happy May, Goddesses

Earlier this week, I sent out an email sharing an update on recommendation letters, licensure verifications, and professional documentation. I wanted to briefly name it here – not just in case you missed it, but because of something that happened afterward. So many of you reached out. Not just to acknowledge the update – but to share how it resonated with you. How it encouraged you to think about your own boundaries, your time, and your value in the work that you do. And I want to say this…Sometimes it can feel a little wobbly to set a boundary, especially afterward. But part of this work ~ this community ~ is not just what we say in session. It’s what we model. And if anything in that email gave you permission to stand a little more firmly in your own worth, then it did exactly what it was meant to do

    Alumni Spotlight

    Celebrating a beautiful milestone ~

Alisihia P. Ford is now Alisihia P. Ford, LICSW, as she has officially passed her clinical exam last month.

This journey asks for discipline, patience, and trust in yourself.

We are so proud of you and all that this moment represents. Yay!!!

    Cindy Brown Legacy Scholarship

Thank you to everyone who submitted reflections for the Cindy Brown Legacy Scholarship for Social Workers.

Each submission was such a great representation of what the Goddesses of Social Work represent. Thank you for taking this work and this offer so seriously.

Congratulations to our recipient: Quin Evans.

Quin has been a steady and meaningful presence in this community, and I’m honored to see this support pour back into her journey.

I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to Cindy Brown and her daughter, Ashley, for their generosity and for allowing her mother’s legacy to continue to live on through this community. Thank you

    Supervision Updates

Over the next few weeks, we are continuing to support Goddesses who are preparing for graduation through facilitating supervision sessions and leading their final presentations.

I am asking each of you to be intentional about how you sign up for supervision this month.

Not just to meet your hours – but to support one another and to learn from each other’s journeys.

When you choose sessions with intention, you help create a space that is full, engaged, and meaningful for those stepping into facilitation.

I strongly encourage you to attend sessions like this when they are offered.

There is something powerful about hearing from someone who has just walked the path you are on – what supported them, what challenged them, and what they carried forward.

If you’d like to continue hearing from other Goddess Alumni who have walked this path, I also invite you to spend some time with the ASWB Clinical Conversations playlist on YouTube.

These conversations offer real insight into the exam experience, what helped, what didn’t, and what it looks like on the other side.

     Current Goddesses

The May supervision calendar is attached.

Please continue sending me the dates you plan to attend, just as you’ve been doing.

Important note: We will not be holding sessions during the first week of May as we intentionally structure the remainder of the month to support fuller groups and our graduating facilitators.

You will still have plenty of opportunities to meet your required 4 hours for the month.

    Stories from Supervision

Some of you have shared that you’ve been listening to the Stories from Supervision series – and even returning to them.

That means a lot to me.

These stories are reflections of the work we are doing together.

If you haven’t listened yet, or want to revisit:
